My previous hairstyles never kept me at the shop like some, however I did spend my fair share of money just trying to either maintain a style unlike my hair texture or control my hair texture. I felt that I would suddenly be freed from the products, accessories, just stuff. Only to find that I am not quite prepared to style my locks. I have made a to buy list of things I would like to have. Although not necessary just to make things easier. 1. spray bottle to mist my hair with h2o to set it. 2. pipe cleaners, loc loops, curling rods, curlers. 3. bonnet style hair dryer, cordless, wireless, superhot and fast kind!! 4. lint free covers and sheets ( I have become lint obsessive) 5. satin bonnets, pillow cases. Not too pricey but a shopping trip none the less. I guess in retrospect one never really changes one just evolves to an other level. Still in love with my locks!!

before, then and now
Before I began this journey I had 8-9 inches of natural hair. My texture is a very loose curl pattern with an abundance of frizz. On day 1 I was shocked at how much scalp was prominent. However, I have lovingly wrapped my hair at night, withstood no oils or moisturizer usage, banded, braided and banded again, separated and I am still in love. The difference in the amount of scalp is evident by week 2.
